Maddog's HTML for Real People Chapter 4, Lesson 4

[INDEX]         Ch 4, L 4 - Striked Text

If you already know how to turn "striked" text on and off in HTML, you can skip this lesson.

Here's one of the most useless features in HTML that I know of, but it's just so darn cool that I couldn't pass it by. You can draw a line through selected text by using the 'strikeout' tag:

<STRIKE></STRIKE>
OR
<S></S>

Let's demonstrate:

HTML Source Code Follows:

Many people have <STRIKE>louzy</STRIKE> lousy spelling;<BR>
But I can spell most <S>stupidly</S> stupendously!
(End of HTML Source Code)

Demonstration Follows:

Many people have louzy lousy spelling;
But I can spell most stupidly stupendously!

(Demonstration Ends)

Who thought this up, anyway?
